And this latest story puts a new twist on his Real Madrid narrative, which of course ended in acrimony, with Mourinho leaving the club under a storm cloud in 2013, to take the reins at Chelsea once again.
Perez asked him back to ‘clean the club’
Despite the fact that Mourinho and Florentino Perez didn’t end their working relationship on the most amicable terms, Beasley claims that the Madrid president wanted Jose back last year.
Beasley claims that Mourinho told him in a text in the summer of 2015:
‘President loves me and wanted me to go and clean it, clean people like Pepe, [Iker] Casillas, [Sergio] Ramos, Marcelo. I told him too late.’

Mourinho of course had a huge rift with Iker Casillas, which caused a split in the dressing room, between pro-Mourinhos, and pro-Casillas.
This is of course only a claim by one journalist, and you get the feeling Beasley will be fielding a lot of questions about the veracity of these explosive claims.
It does seem like a bizarre thing for Perez to ask of Mourinho, particularly in the case of Ramos, who has been one of the best and most consistent performers over the years.
